The Final (Website)

Coding in e-Comm?

This project was the Semester 1 final. We made a website and a portfolio using dream weaver. Our project required some computer science knowledge, i.e, coding. Besides from the coding this project wasn't quite long, since I am a slow worker I had to spend time after school to get my project some what finished. We had to make 2 pages so to speak our project and home, here's how they turned out.

What did I Learn?

I learned that web design is tough work. Not only do you need to have basic knowledge of computer science you also need the ability to say motivated and ready to work. I also learned what coding is. And before tech heads berate me for going to a class like this and not knowing code is a problem however I know it now. I learned what tags are and how to end them. Lastly I learned what dreamweaver is. To my surprise its quite rigorous and difficult.

What Would I Change?

There is many things I regret about this project. For one I overestimated myself thinking I could finish this easily however other finals got in my way. My mom always tell me you procrastinate you face the unknown and couldn't be farther from the truth now. On the other hand there is some things I liked about this project. For one I like the concept of it, being able to build our own websites is quite the skill that can be used later down the road. Even though I had only one video left I declare my project a success and it does have its charm.

House Plan and Tour

What Exactly Was This Project

This project made me feel like a digital architect, this project was a house designer/ builder activity that was used in sketch up. we used sketch up to create a 3-D model of a real life house. However while designing this house almost exactly we were allowed some creative freedom. Nothing to big of course since we were to follow the floor plan of the house. However some of us used slightly different textures to create our House.

Why do this Project?

This may seem like a chore to someone who isn't in e-comm but this was very important to e9 students. During this project we learned the simple ideas of 3-D modeling using sketch up. We learned how to use the push and pull tool to create our houses precisely. On a more technical note we learned how to export our animation into a compressed mp.4 file. And strangely enough I finally learned how to upload to Youtube. I have a feeling this class might turn me into the next big internet star.

I love This House.

Honestly I am very proud of this project. Allow it took me a while to get this done the stress of finals kicked me into gear. The textures are a bit primitive however the textures represent the actual house rather well. The glass Ould have been lighter and the roof could have been better created.

Bounce

What Was The Project?

This project was a ball bounce and with other activities. We created these gifs in Adobe Photoshop to help gasp the basic teachings of animation. We had to create three gifs in the span of a week, an basic bounce gif, a parabola gif, which has basically a animation of a ball being thrown across the screening then rolling into some brush. Lastly my favorite we did a freeform bounce where Mr. Netterville let us run wild with our imaginations. As long as we did something made the ball disappear in some sort of then we could do basically do whatever we want.

What did I learn?

I learned the basic fundamentals of one of the several different types of animation. We learned about frame animation in adobe photoshop. We also learned how to share each others ideas and get each other opinions on our projects

I would keep it the same

Even though the animation is rather crude I would keep it the same, I liked my idea for the Alien sucking up the ball.  Even though it is poorly drawn it will have a special place in my heart as my first real proud of animation.

The Farewell Address (see ya gamers!)

Introduction      It’s over, but honestly it still really hasn’t hit that after 4 years I am done. I still remember my freshman classe...
